Finding the dress...

Last year I went to a bridal boutique to try on a few dresses...It was eye opening to say the least....
I have confirmed a few things too.. 1: I do not have the body shape that allows me to fit or look good in any wedding dress size...if it fits my waist its usually too small for my top half and viceversa.... 2: I'm definitely not a poofy, Cinderella dress girl...its looks very pretty but I feel sooo insanely uncomfortable and it feels like im wearing a fancy dress costume... 3: The dresses in that particular boutique was really very boring...they are all exactly what you see in every wedding magazine...it just doesn't fit the picture in my head...

In 2 weeks time I have another fitting at a boutique that has more of the style I am looking for...soft, flowy, lace, vintage...its call Lubellos. My cousin getting married in April found her dress there so I'm hopeful that I will be inspired too... Ive decided to have my dress made instead of buying a ready made one, just purely because what I have in mind is not something I've seen in very many SA Bridal Boutiques...

This morning while browsing other wedding blogs I saw a bride wearing a BHLDN dress... it was stunning! I followed the link to see if there were more stunning dresses...and low and behold....wow...if only I had the budget for one of these glorious designs. One in particular caught my eye, its called Victoria's Reign Gown, and its only $2600... haha...only...
But just look at it...

Ignore the ridiculous hairstyle on this model... I have no idea what they were thinking there??!

So this dress is definitely going into my dress design file...now I just hope that my dress turns out like this plus all the other elements form all the other dresses I love! haha...think I might need to lower my expectations just a little...
